What is Receiptix?

Receiptix is a mobile expense tracker for iOS and Android. It gives you three ways to log spending — scan a receipt, type it in, or say it out loud — and organizes everything with categories, tags, and projects so you can see where your money goes.

Whether you're tracking personal spending, managing business expenses, or splitting costs on a shared project, Receiptix handles it. This guide walks you through the basics so you can start logging expenses right away.

Navigating the App

The app is organized around three main tabs, accessible from the bottom navigation bar:

Home

Your recent expenses at a glance. This is where you land every time you open the app.

Transactions

A searchable list of all your expenses, with filters for date, category, and more.

Reports

Charts and analytics showing your spending by category, time period, and project.

Three Ways to Add Expenses

Tap the + button on the home screen to add an expense. You'll see three options:

Scan a Receipt

Take a photo, pick from your library, or import a PDF. AI extracts every detail.

Premium

Manual Entry

Type in the merchant, items, and amounts yourself. Fast and straightforward.

Free

Voice Mode

Speak your expense details and let AI create the entry hands-free.

Every expense in Receiptix contains:

  • Merchant name — where you made the purchase
  • Date — when the transaction happened
  • Currency — supports 150+ currencies
  • Line items — each with a name, quantity, price, and category
  • Tags — optional labels for filtering (up to 10 per receipt)
