Is Receiptix free?

Receiptix offers free manual expense entry, allowing you to track your expenses by typing them in directly. This includes basic categorization, visual reports, multi-currency support, and cloud sync. For users who prefer hands-free automation, our premium features include AI-powered receipt scanning, voice expense tracking, smart categorization, and advanced analytics. You can start with the free manual entry and upgrade to premium when you're ready for completely automated expense management.

How does Receiptix work?

Receiptix uses advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to extract information from receipt images. Users simply take a photo of their receipt, and the app automatically categorizes the expense, extracts key details, and stores the information securely in the cloud. For added convenience, users can also utilize the Voice Mode to verbally input expense details, which the app then processes and categorizes automatically.

What's the difference between categories and tags?

Categories and tags serve different purposes in Receiptix:

  • Categories are applied to individual transaction items, while tags are applied to entire transactions
  • Categories are predefined and cannot be changed because our AI uses them for automatic categorization, while tags are completely customizable
  • Tags are not mutually exclusive - you can add multiple tags to a single transaction for flexible organization

This system gives you the best of both worlds: reliable AI-powered categorization for your individual items, plus flexible custom tagging for organizing your transactions however you prefer.

Account & Subscriptions

How do I restore my Pro subscription?

If you've previously purchased a Pro subscription but it's not showing up after an update, you can easily restore it by following these steps:

  1. On the Home screen, tap the profile icon in the top right corner
  2. If you can see the "Pro" subscription label, your subscription is active
  3. If you don't see the label, tap the "Upgrade" button
  4. On the paywall screen, tap "Restore purchases" at the bottom
  5. Close the paywall
  6. Your Pro subscription should now be restored and visible

What subscription plans are available?

Receiptix offers several subscription options to fit your needs. We have monthly and annual plans, as well as special lifetime access options during promotional periods. What is the Telegram integration?

Receiptix offers a Telegram bot (@receiptix_bot) that lets you track expenses directly through Telegram. You can send text messages or photos of receipts to the bot, and everything syncs automatically with your Receiptix account. It's perfect for quick expense logging without leaving your favorite messaging app.

Do I need the mobile app to use the Telegram bot?

No! You can start tracking expenses using just our Telegram bot. However, using both gives you the best experience - track expenses quickly via Telegram and get detailed insights and reports through the app. All your data syncs automatically between both platforms.

What about the Chrome extension?

Our Chrome extension lets you capture online receipts directly from your browser. Whether you're shopping online or receiving email receipts, you can save them to Receiptix with just a keyboard shortcut (⌘+Shift+E on Mac, Alt+Shift+E on Windows) or right-click. The extension supports multiple formats including screenshots, PDFs, and text selection.
